Nisporeni District
Nisporeni () is a district ( ro, raion) in west-central Moldova, with its administrative center at Nisporeni. According to the 2014 census, its population was 53,154; most (82.8 percent) are Moldovans. History The Vărzărești monastery was first mentioned on 25 April 1420. The oldest locations in the district ( Bălăurești, Ciutești, Seliște, Nisporeni and Vărzărești) were first mentioned in 1420-1425. The 15th to 18th centuries were marked by economic (trade and agriculture) and cultural development (the construction of monasteries and churches) and population growth. The city of Nisporeni was first mentioned by Gaspar Graziani in his book dated 4 January 1618. According to Graziani, at that time Nisporeni was ruled by Farima Nicolae II, descendant of the Farima dynasty and cousin of Michael the Brave. Nicolae II is one of Moldova's national heroes. Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. It is used as a summer daylight saving time in some European and Middle Eastern countries, which makes it the same as Arabia Standard Time, East Africa Time, and Moscow Time. During the winter periods, Eastern European Time ( UTC+02:00) is used. Since 1996, European Summer Time has been applied from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. Prut
The Prut (also spelled in English as Pruth; , uk, Прут) is a long river in Eastern Europe. It is a left tributary of the Danube. In part of its course it forms Romania's border with Moldova and Ukraine. Characteristics The Prut originates on the eastern slope of Mount Hoverla, in the Carpathian Mountains in Ukraine (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast). At first, the river flows to the north. Near Yaremche it turns to the northeast, and near Kolomyia to the south-east. Having reached the border between Moldova and Romania, it turns even more to the south-east, and then to the south. Dimitrie Bogos (born June 14, 1889, Grozești, Russian Empire - died May 14, 1946, Bucharest) was a Romanian politician, officer, jurist and publicist. Biography Dimitrie Bogos was born on June 14, 1889, in the village of Grozești, the Bessarabia Governorate, the Russian Empire. He graduated from Theological Seminary of Chișinău and from the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw (1914). He participated in the establishment of the Moldovan Students' Circle ''"Awakening"'' in Kiev and Odessa, founded in 1908 by Daniel Ciugureanu, Ştefan Ciobanu, Alexei Mateevici, Simion Murafa, Ştefan Berechet and others, whose president was elected Daniel Ciugureanu. He participated in the First World War at the works of the Congress of Moldovan Militants. Vladimir Plahotniuc (born 1 January 1966) is a Moldovan politician, businessman and oligarch. He was the chairman of the Democratic Party of Moldova (24 December 2016 – 24 June 2019) and previously was member of the Parliament of Moldova in three terms (December 2010 – October 2013, December 2014 – July 2015, February 2019 – July 2019), and served as First Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Moldova (December 2010 – February 2013).
