Grown Ups (band)
Grown Ups was an American emo band from Chicago, Illinois and Furnessville, Indiana. History Their sound combined Emo and Screamo with Indie rock, Math rock and Pop punk. They released one full-length album, ''More Songs'', under the London, Britain-based Big Scary Monsters label, later re-released by American label, Topshelf Records. They have toured Europe and the United Kingdom. They released "Hand Holder" EP/7" on Doghouse Records in 2011. Doyle Martin went on to form the band Cloakroom, as well as play guitar in the band Nothing. Pop Punk
Pop punk (or punk pop) is a rock music genre that combines elements of punk rock with power pop or pop. It is defined for its emphasis on classic pop songcraft, as well as adolescent and anti-suburbia themes, and is distinguished from other punk-variant genres by drawing more heavily from 1960s bands such as the Beatles, the Kinks, and the Beach Boys. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. It is usually held flat against the player's body and played by strumming or plucking the strings with the dominant hand, while simultaneously pressing selected strings against frets with the fingers of the opposite hand. Nothing is an American shoegaze band that formed in 2010. The band self-released several EPs before signing to Relapse Records. They released their debut studio album, ''Guilty of Everything (Nothing album), Guilty of Everything'', in 2014. The follow-up album, ''Tired of Tomorrow'', was released on in 2016. Nothing's third studio album, ''Dance on the Blacktop'', was released in 2018, and their fourth studio album, ''The Great Dismal'', was released in 2020. History Nothing founder Domenic "Nicky" Palermo was previously a member of the hardcore punk band Horror Show. The short-lived band only released a pair of EPs through Jacob Bannon of Converge (band), Converge's Deathwish Inc. label during its existence. Cloakroom is an American shoegaze band from Northwest Indiana. They are currently signed to Relapse Records. History The band formed in June 2012. Lead singer and guitarist Doyle Martin was previously in the bands Grown Ups and Lion of the North, and bassist Bobby Markos was in the band Native. The band signed to Run For Cover Records in 2013. The band released their first extended play, titled ''Infinity'', in 2013 via Run For Cover. In 2014, the band released a single "Lossed Over," also on Run For Cover. On January 20, 2015, the band released their debut album, ''Further Out'', via Run For Cover Records. The album was produced by Matt Talbott of the band Hum. In 2015, Cloakroom opened for Brand New after Jesse Lacey and his wife listened to ''Further Out''. In the fall of 2016, they announced a tour of the UK and EU in support of Russian Circles.
