Groupe La Québécoise is a passenger transportation company based in Quebec, Canada. The company started out in 1965 by providing student transportation for school boards in the Quebec City area, and has progressed into providing intercity bus service, public transit, paratransit, airport shuttles and coach charters. Expansion within the province has seen them establish subsidiaries in the regions of Outaouais, Lanaudière, Montérégie, Estrie, Centre-du-Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches, Capitale-Nationale and Gaspésie. Bus services La Québécoise offers intercity bus service between Quebec City and Sherbrooke (via Victoriaville). Public transit systems operated by the company are CIT Le Richelain and CIT Sorel-Varennes, with paratransit services operated for the Société de transport de l'Outaouais. CIT Le Richelain
The Exo (public transit) Le Richelain sector is the public transportation system for the municipalities of La Prairie, Candiac and Saint-Philippe, which are suburbs lying southeast of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. Originally the communities around Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu were included but the town now has its own public transit system which serves that area. The sector will merge with the Exo Roussillon sector when the Réseau express métropolitain opens on July 31, 2023. Commuter service to Montreal is the major function of the sector, either directly to Terminus Centre-Ville via a reserved bus lane on the Champlain Bridge or services to Terminus Longueuil with a connection to the metro towards downtown Montreal. In 2018, exo awarded Transdev the contract to run service for the sector. James Bay Project
The James Bay Project (french: projet de la Baie-James) refers to the construction of a series of hydroelectric power stations on the La Grande River in northwestern Quebec, Canada by state-owned utility Hydro-Québec, and the diversion of neighbouring rivers into the La Grande watershed. It is located between James Bay to the west and Labrador to the east, and its waters flow from the Laurentian Plateau of the Canadian Shield. The project covers an area the size of New York State and is one of the largest hydroelectric systems in the world. It has cost upwards of US$20 billion to build and has an installed generating capacity of 16,527 megawatts. If fully expanded to include all of the original planned dams, as well as the additional James Bay II projects, the system would generate a total of 27,000 MW, making it the largest hydroelectric system in the world. Hydro-Québec is a public utility that manages the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity in the Canadian province of Quebec, as well as the export of power to portions of the Northeast United States. The Société de transport de Montréal (STM; en, Montreal Transit Corporation) is a public transport agency that operates transit bus and rapid transit services in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Downtown Montreal ( French: ''Centre-Ville de Montréal'') is the central business district of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The district is situated on the southernmost slope of Mount Royal, and occupies the western portion of the borough of Ville-Marie.
