Group TAC
was a Japanese animation and computer graphics studio located in Shibuya, Tokyo, and founded in 1968 from former Mushi Pro or Mushi Pro for short, is a Japanese animation studio headquartered in Fujimidai, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. It previously had a headquarters elsewhere in Nerima. The studio was headed by manga artist Osamu Tezuka. Tezuka started it as a rivalry wi ... staff. They worked on movies, videos, TV shows, and commercials, and contributed to all stages of the process, including planning, production, sound effects, and so on. The company was headed by Atsumi Tashiro until his death in July 2010. In September 2010, Group TAC filed for bankruptcy, and liquidated all of its assets. Diomedéa was formed after a split from Group TAC. Group TAC's remaining animation project, ''Hana Kappa'', was taken over by OLM, Inc. and XEBEC. A or ''kabushiki kaisha'', commonly abbreviated K.K. or KK, is a type of defined under the Companies Act of Japan. The term is often translated as "stock company", "joint-stock company" or "stock corporation". The term ''kabushiki gaisha'' in Japan refers to any joint-stock company regardless of country of origin or incorporation; however, outside Japan the term refers specifically to joint-stock companies incorporated in Japan. is a series of picture books created by and published by . Books The first and eponymous book was published in 1967, and was followed by five others: (1972), (1976), (1982), (1989), and (1996). In the year the last one was published, Koguma released a box set containing the six books. Additionally, an emaki book, , was released in 1992 and re-released in 2011; a karuta book was released in 1994; and three post card books were released in 1986, 1998, and 2001 by Koguma. Tama And Friends
is a character franchise created by Sony Creative Products in 1983. An OVA series based on the products titled was produced by Sony Music Entertainment Japan and animated by Group TAC. The episodes were released between 1988 and 1990. All episodes, except the first, had two episodes put on a single cassette. The OVAs (except the first) aired on MBS and TBS under the name from July 3, 1993 to August 28, 1993. An anime movie, titled , was released in the same year. An additional 29 episodes were created and broadcast in 1994 on the same networks under the same name. The original series was licensed by 4Kids Entertainment in 2000 and dubbed into English.
