Aloisio Gritti
Alvise Gritti (born 29 September 1480, died 1534), whose first name may also be spelled Aloisio, Lodovico, Ludovico, Luigi or Louis (Hungarian ''Lajos''), was a Venetian politician. He was influential in the Hungarian Kingdom under the reign of King John I of Hungary. He was also a minister of the Ottoman sultan, and regent of Hungary from 1530 to 1534. He was the natural son of Andrea Gritti, the Venetian Bailo of Constantinople during the reign of Sultan Bayezid II and who later became the Doge of Venice in 1523. Youth Gritti’s father lived in Constantinople as a grain merchant for about twenty years before returning as a diplomat on behalf of Venice. During this time he had multiple sons with a Greek, possibly Turkish, concubine. Andrea Gritti
Andrea Gritti (17 April 1455 – 28 December 1538) was the Doge of the Venetian Republic from 1523 to 1538, following a distinguished diplomatic and military career. He started out as a successful merchant in Constantinople and transitioned into the position of Bailo, a diplomatic role. He was arrested for espionage but was spared execution thanks to his good relationship with the Ottoman vizier. After being freed from imprisonment, he returned to Venice and began his political career. When the War of the League of Cambrai broke out, despite his lack of experience, he was given a leadership role in the Venetian military, where he excelled. Matteo Gritti (born 11 June 1980) is an Italian retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is not to be confused with Serie C2 player Matteo Gritti (born 1986). Career Born in Seriate, about 4 km southeast of Bergamo, Gritti started his career at Serie D club Bassano Virtus before returned to Lombardy for Atalanta Bergamo. After two seasons at their youth teams, Gritti moved back to Serie D for Oggiono, which also located in Lombardy. He played for the club as regular starter before signed for Serie C1 club Alzano, his third Lombardy club. He then signed by the Province of Bergamo based AlbinoLeffe, which in 2002–03 in the same group with Alzano, but Alzano relegated and AlbinoLeffe promoted. Triadan Gritti
Triadan Gritti was a 15th-century Venetian nobleman who was the Venetian captain general and commander-in-chief of Scutari. Diplomatic and military career In 1451 Gritti served as the Venetian ambassador to the Papal States. When the news of Ottoman preparations for the siege of Scutari reached Venice in early 1474, Triadan Gritti, who was 84 years old then, was appointed as the Venetian captain general instead of Pietro Mocenigo. Gritti commanded the Venetian fleet of six galleys that sailed early in May 1474 to protect the coasts of Albania, Veneta, and especially the mouths of the Bojana River. By summer Gritti's forces were joined by the fleet commanded by Mocenigo, who left Cyprus after first installing Caterina Cornaro as queen of the island.
