Grinning Streak
''Grinning Streak'' is the tenth full-length original-material studio album by Barenaked Ladies, released on 4 June 2013 on Vanguard Records. It is the band's first album on Vanguard. The album is the band's second studio album since the departure of founding member Steven Page in February 2009. The album was recorded February–April 2013 in separate sessions with Howie Beck and Gavin Brown The first single, "Boomerang" was recorded in a separate session produced by Brown in May 2012, initially for release that summer. Commercial performance ''Grinning Streak'' debuted at 10 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, selling 26,000 copies in its first week. It is the band's highest position on the chart since their album ''Everything to Everyone'' also debuted at 10 in 2003. ''Grinning Streak'' also debuted at 12 on Canada's Top Album Chart, and 101 on the UK Albums Chart. The album has sold 68,000 copies in the US as of May 2015. Barenaked Ladies
Barenaked Ladies is a Canadian rock band formed in 1988 in Scarborough, Ontario. The band developed a following in Canada, with their self-titled 1991 cassette becoming the first independent release to be certified gold in Canada. They reached mainstream success in Canada when their debut with Reprise Records, ''Gordon'', featuring the singles "If I Had $1000000" and " Brian Wilson", was released in 1992. The band's popularity subsequently spread into the US, beginning with versions of "Brian Wilson" and "The Old Apartment" off their 1996 live album ''Rock Spectacle'', followed by their fourth studio album '' Stunt'', their breakout success in 1998. ''Uncut'' is a monthly magazine based in London. It is available across the English-speaking world, and focuses on music, but also includes film and books sections. A DVD magazine under the ''Uncut'' brand was published quarterly from 2005 to 2006. Tyler Stewart
Tyler Joseph Stewart (born September 21, 1967) is the drummer for the Canadian music group Barenaked Ladies. Role in Barenaked Ladies Stewart met Steven Page, Ed Robertson, and Jim Creeggan at the Waterloo Busker Carnival in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in the summer of 1990, and soon fulfilled the trio's desire for a real kit drummer. When Andy Creeggan (who played congas) returned from a trip to South America to find Stewart on drums, he felt somewhat displaced. Creeggan eventually switched to playing mostly keyboards. Stewart has been with the band ever since. He also adds numerous percussive and melodic elements, including piano on ''Born on a Pirate Ship.'' Kevin Neil Hearn (born July 3, 1969) is a Canadian musician who is a member of Barenaked Ladies, and his own group, Kevin Hearn and Thin Buckle. He primarily plays keyboards and guitars. He is also a member of Rheostatics. Early life Hearn was born to a relatively large family, and they lived in a small home in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. ''Everything to Everyone'' (commonly abbreviated ''E2E'') is the sixth full-length studio album by Barenaked Ladies. It was released in 2003 and was produced by Ron Aniello. The content of the album is noted for its increased political commentary over previous albums. This was their last album with Reprise Records (or any major label for that matter) before switching to a more independent label, Desperation Records and subsequently Raisin' Records.
