Griff Whalen
Griff Whalen (born March 1, 1990) is a former football wide receiver. He played college football at Stanford and was signed by the Indianapolis Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Whalen has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins, San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens, and Oakland Raiders, as well as for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). College career Whalen played for the Stanford Cardinal from 2008–2011. He was roommates with quarterback Andrew Luck for three years. While at Stanford, he played on the club lacrosse team in one season. 2008 season Whalen made the Stanford football team as a walk-on and was one of eight true freshmen to see playing time in the 2008 season. Chris Owusu
Christopher Lloyd Owusu (born January 6, 1990) is a former American football wide receiver. He played college football at Stanford. He was signed by the San Francisco 49ers after going undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft. He has also played for the San Diego Chargers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Early life Owusu graduated from Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, California, and was ranked as the 36th best wide receiver in the nation. He was named an All-American wide receiver by SuperPrep, as well as an All-Northwest Section choice by the Ventura County Star and a first-team All-Tri-Valley League selection as a senior in 2007. In his senior year, Owusu caught 32 passes for 563 yards and six touchdowns despite playing in only seven games due to an injury. Ryan Whalen (born July 26, 1989) is a former American football wide receiver who played college football at Stanford. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the sixth round, 167th overall of the 2011 NFL Draft. Early years A native of Alamo, California, Whalen graduated from Monte Vista High School in Danville, California, where he played for former Santa Clara quarterback Craig Bergman. As a senior, he hauled in 80 passes for over 1,200 yards and scored 14 touchdowns playing wide receiver, earning all-state honors. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Andrew Austen Luck (born September 12, 1989) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
