''Gridiron!'' is a football game by Bethesda Softworks. Gameplay ''Gridiron!'' is a game in which statistics for players are provided on an NFL DataDisc. Reception Wyatt Lee reviewed the game for ''Computer Gaming World'', and stated that "Although this game is only available for the Amiga and Atari ST, the graphics are not as spectacular as one would expect for these machines." Atari Explorer rated the game an 8 of 10. John Harrington reviewed ''Gridiron!'' for '' Games International'' magazine, and gave it a rating of 8 out of 10, and stated that "I was dubious about the decision to combine strategy and arcade action but in ''Gridiron!'' it works." Bethesda Softworks LLC is an American video game publisher based in Rockville, Maryland. The company was founded by Christopher Weaver in 1986 as a division of Media Technology Limited, and in 1999 became a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media. In its first fifteen years, it was a video game developer and self-published its titles. In 2001, Bethesda spun off its own in-house development team into Bethesda Game Studios, and Bethesda Softworks retained only its publishing function. Christopher Weaver
Christopher S. Weaver is an American entrepreneur, software developer, scientist, author, and educator. He is known for founding Bethesda Softworks, where he was one of the creators of ''The Elder Scrolls'' role-playing series. Weaver and Bethesda are credited with developing the first real-time physics engine for sports simulation, used in Bethesda's '' Gridiron!'' video game. Weaver also developed game screen captioning for the deaf and made it available as open source software. Career At Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Weaver helped redesign the campus radio and television studios, and modified Link Trainers to better simulate situational spatial awareness. Amiga World
''Amiga World'' was a magazine dedicated to the Amiga computer platform. It was a prominent Amiga magazine, particularly in the United States, and was published by Massachusetts-based IDG Publishing from 1985 until April 1995. The first several issues were distributed before the computer was available for sale to the public. Issue 3 (Vol 2 No 1, January 1986) featured the artist Andy Warhol. The headquarters of the magazine later moved to Peterborough, New Hampshire.
