Greyson Douglas Jenista (born December 7, 1996) is an American professional baseball right fielder who is a free agent. Jenista attended De Soto High School in De Soto, Kansas, and Wichita State University, where he played college baseball for the Wichita State Shockers. Career Amateur In 2017, he played collegiate summer baseball for the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named the league's most valuable player. Atlanta Braves The Atlanta Braves selected Jenista in the second round, with the 49th overall selection, of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He signed and played ten games for the Danville Braves of the Rookie-level Appalachian League, and was promoted to the Rome Braves of the Single–A South Atlantic League. A right fielder, abbreviated RF, is the outfielder in baseball or softball who plays defense in right field. Right field is the area of the outfield to the right of a person standing at home plate and facing towards the pitcher's mound. 2018 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2018 Major League Baseball (MLB) First-Year Player Draft began on June 4, 2018. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order was determined based on the reverse order of the 2017 MLB season final standings. Gwinnett Stripers
The Gwinnett Stripers are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. They play their home games at Coolray Field in unincorporated Gwinnett County, Georgia (with a Lawrenceville address) in suburban Atlanta, Georgia. They are named for striped bass in reference to the popularity of fishing in the region. The Scottsdale Scorpions are a baseball team that plays in the East Division of the Arizona Fall League. The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is an off-season sports league owned and operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) which operates during the autumn in Arizona, United States, at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) who are assigned by their parent clubs. Structure The six teams of the AFL are organized in two three-team divisions. Mississippi Braves
The Mississippi Braves, or M-Braves as they are referred to locally, are a Minor League Baseball team based in Pearl, Mississippi, a suburb of Jackson. The team is the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and plays in the Southern League. The team is owned and operated by Endeavor. Endeavor purchased the Braves from Liberty Media in 2022. The Florida State League (FSL) is a Minor League Baseball league based in the state of Florida. Florida Fire Frogs
The Florida Fire Frogs were a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League from 2017 to 2020. They were located in North Port, Florida, and served as the Class A-Advanced affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
