Gretel Scarlett Jahnke (), known as Gretel Scarlett (born 9 November 1987) is an Australian actress and performer. Having appeared in theatre productions including ''Wicked'' and '' Mamma Mia!'', she is best known for starring as Sandy in the 2013–2015 Australian production of '' Grease'' and Kathy Selden in the 2016/2017 Australian production of ''Singin' in the Rain'' which opened at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne. She most recently appeared in Disney's '' Frozen'' as the Elsa understudy. Early life Born in Rockhampton, Scarlett's parents enrolled her in singing and dancing lessons at the age of four. Elphaba Thropp is a fictional character in '' Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West'' by Gregory Maguire, as well as in the Broadway and West End adaptations, ''Wicked''. In the original 1900 L. Frank Baum book ''The Wonderful Wizard of Oz'', the Wicked Witch of the West is unnamed and little is explained about her life. Carols In The Domain
Carols in the Domain is an annual Australian Christmas concert event held in the Domain Gardens in Sydney. It began in 1983, and features many national and international performers and guest appearances. It a free event, broadcast around Australia on the Seven Network, and simulcast on Smooth FM. The event was held on the last Saturday before Christmas Eve until 2015; and has been held on the last Sunday before Christmas Eve since 2016. Jemma Rix (née Stevenson; born 25 December 1984) is an Australians, Australian theatre performer, who has played the role of Elphaba in the Melbourne, Sydney, Australian and Asian touring companies of ''Wicked (musical), Wicked''. The Queensland Performing Arts Centre (also known as QPAC) is part of the Queensland Cultural Centre and is located on the corner of Melbourne Street and Grey Street in Brisbane's South Bank precinct.
