Gregory R Nelson Sr. is the cofounder and former senior executive at three of the nation’s leading orthopedic bracing companies, DonJoy, Inc. (now DJO Global), BREG, Inc, and United Orthopedic Group. Business/career Nelson cofounded DonJoy, Inc. a company that manufactures and sells orthopedic devices, in 1977. The company eventually was traded on the New York Stock Exchange as DJO. It remains the world’s largest manufacturer of knee braces. The vastly successful company was sold in 1987 for $23 million. Nelson remained president until 1995. DJO Global currently is a private company, owned by the Blackstone Group. In 1989, Nelson cofounded BREG, another orthopedic company that achieved landmark success. Carlsbad is a coastal city in the North County region of San Diego County, California, United States. The city is south of downtown Los Angeles and north of downtown San Diego. Jon Steven Young (born October 11, 1961) is an American former professional football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 15 seasons, primarily with the San Francisco 49ers. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to his NFL career, he was a member of the Los Angeles Express in the United States Football League (USFL) for two seasons. Young played college football for Brigham Young University (BYU), setting school and NCAA records en route to being runner-up for the 1983 Heisman Trophy. Young was named the AP's NFL Most Valuable Player in 1992 and 1994, and was the MVP of Super Bowl XXIX where he led the 49ers to a victory over the San Diego Chargers with a record six touchdown passes. Steve Largent
Stephen Michael Largent (born September 28, 1954) is an American former football wide receiver and politician who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. A member of the Republican Party, he served in the U.S. House of Representatives for Oklahoma's 1st congressional district from 1994 to 2002. He was also the Republican nominee in the 2002 Oklahoma gubernatorial election. Largent played college football at Tulsa University, where he studied biology, and began his NFL career with the expansion Seahawks in 1976. Regarded as one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, he held all major NFL receiving records at the time of his retirement. Largent was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995.
