Gregory F. Treverton
Gregory F. ("Greg") Treverton is an American foreign policy and intelligence agency, intelligence executive. Treverton was the chairperson of the U.S. National Intelligence Council from 2014-2017 and vice chair from 1993-1995. He is also a professor at the University of Southern California and a visiting senior fellow at the Swedish Defence University. Biography From 2007 to 2014, Treverton was a Senior Fellow, Stockholm, Sweden. Between 2000 and 2014, he served at the RAND Corporation, Rand Corporation as the Director for the Center for Global Risk and Security (2009-2014), Director of Intelligence Policy Center (2004-2005), and a senior researcher (2000-2009) at the Rand Corporation. National Intelligence Council
The National Intelligence Council (NIC), established in 1979 and reporting to the Director of National Intelligence, bridges the United States Intelligence Community (IC) with policy makers in the United States. The NIC produces the "Global Trends" report every four years beginning in 1997, for the incoming President of the United States. Their work is based on intelligence from a wide variety of sources that includes experts in academia and the private sector.
