Gregoria Mariska Tunjung
Gregoria Mariska Tunjung Cahyaningsih (born 11 August 1999) is an Indonesian badminton player who plays in the singles event. Her club is PB. Mutiara Cardinal in Bandung, West Java, and entered the national team in 2013. She won the girls' singles title at the 2017 World Junior Championships. Tunjung also featured in the Indonesian women's winning team at the 2022 Asia Team Championships. Career In 2014, Tunjung reached the final of the Malaysia International. En route to the final, she had to start from the qualifying round, then beat the first seed Aprilia Yuswandari. Unfortunately, in the final round she was defeated by Chen Jiayuan in straight game. In 2015, at the age of 16, Tunjung has won a BWF International Series title in Singapore defeating host player Yeo Jia Min in the final. 2017 BWF World Junior Championships
The 2017 BWF World Junior Championships (officially known as the Blibli.com Yonex-Sunrise BWF World Junior Championships 2017 for sponsorship reasons) was the nineteenth tournament of the BWF World Junior Championships. It was held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia at the Among Rogo Sports Hall between 9 and 22 October 2017. Host city selection Bilbao (Spain) and Yogyakarta (Indonesia) originally submitted bids to host the 2016 competition. Badminton World Federation later awarded the event to Bilbao while Yogyakarta was appointed as host for the next edition. According to the Indonesian delegation, the Spanish bid for the 2016 edition was approved due to fears of political instability should Bilbao awarded the 2017 edition. The BWF World Junior Championships (also known as the World Junior Badminton Championships) is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to crown the best junior badminton players (under-19) in the world.
