Greg Whiteley
Greg Beck Whiteley (born November 11, 1969) is the creator, executive producer, and director of the Netflix documentary series ''Cheer'' (2020–2022) and ''Last Chance U'' (2016–2020). His films include ''New York Doll'' (2005), '' Resolved'' (2007), '' Mitt'' (2014), and '' Most Likely to Succeed'' (2015). Whiteley's documentaries have garnered an IDA award for best documentary series, four Emmy Awards and three premieres at the Sundance Film Festival. Early life and education Whiteley was born in Provo, Utah to parents Jessie and Kent Whiteley. He was raised in Bellevue, Washington where he attended Interlake High School and became a two-time debate state champion. He served for two years, from 1989–1991, as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. Art Center College of Design (stylized as ArtCenter College of Design) is a private art college in Pasadena, California. History ArtCenter College of Design was founded in 1930 in downtown Los Angeles as the Art Center School. In 1935, Fred R. Archer founded the photography department, and Ansel Adams was a guest instructor in the late 1930s. During and after World War II, ArtCenter ran a technical illustration program in conjunction with the California Institute of Technology. The LA Film Festival was an annual film festival that was held in Los Angeles, California, and usually took place in June. It showcased independent, international, feature, documentary and short films, as well as web series, music videos, episodic television and panel conversations. Arthur Kane
Arthur Harold Kane Jr. (February 3, 1949 – July 13, 2004) was a musician best known as the bass guitarist for the pioneering glam rock band the New York Dolls. Kane was a founding member of the Dolls in 1971 and remained an integral part of the band until he was forced out in 1975, shortly after the departure of Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan. In 2004, after decades of estrangement from Dolls singer David Johansen, Kane rejoined the surviving Dolls (Johansen and Sylvain Sylvain) to rehearse and play a reunion concert in London, which was the subject of the 2005 documentary ''New York Doll''. In addition to his bass playing, Kane was known for his subculture fashion sense and for uttering original aphorisms in his uniquely toned voice.
