Greg Thomson
Greg Thomson is an Australian former journalist. Thomson was a sports presenter and reporter for Sky News Australia and Fox Sports News, until resigning in July 2018. Career Thomson is originally from Brisbane and began his media career in 2007 at age 19, working for Southern Cross Austereo regional television stations, including Southern Cross Ten. Between 2010 and 2013, Thomson moved to Canberra becoming sports editor and presenter at WIN Television. He moved to Melbourne in 2013 to join Sky News, remaining there for less than a year before becoming a freelance journalist. As a freelancer, Thomson worked for ''Seven News'', ''Nine News'' and ''A Current Affair'' as well as radio station Triple M. Thomson re-joined Sky News in Sydney in October 2015. Saturday Edition ''Saturday Edition'' is a weekly Australian news and current affairs television program on Sky News Live. It is hosted by Greg Thomson and Jaynie Seal. The program was premiered on 9 July 2016 and runs from 7am to 10am (AEST) on Saturdays. It was originally planned to have the show break out for 30 minutes to allow '' Pyne & Marles'' to appear, but that program was moved to Friday afternoons after ''Saturday Edition'' began. Triple M is an Australian commercial radio network owned and operated by Southern Cross Austereo. The network consists of 40 radio stations broadcasting a mainstream rock music format and 5 digital radio stations. The network dates back to the launch of Triple M Sydney in 1980. On 15 December 2016, the network was amalgamated with the LocalWorks network of regional radio stations. History The first Triple M station was Triple M Sydney, which commenced broadcasting to Sydney on 2 August 1980.
