Greg Preston
Gregory Mark Preston (born June 2, 1960) is an American photographer and author, best known for his portraiture of artists within their creative spaces. Early life Preston was first exposed to comic books at age eight and was immediately drawn to the visuals. At age 13, Preston was reintroduced to comics by a friend and from that point on he was hooked. For college, Preston enrolled at UNLV for his first two years as a Fine Arts major, thinking he wanted to be an Illustrator, but really his desire was to be comic book artist. An instructor's advice that Preston seek out a more serious art school, with commercial sensibilities led him to enroll in Community College for Graphic Design. Preston bought his first camera, an Olympus OM-1, during that third year of studies, to shoot reference photos for his illustrations, and found his passion. Scott Shaw (artist)
Scott Joseph Shaw (born September 4, 1951), often spelled Scott Shaw! and Scott Shaw? in ''Rick and Steve'', is an American cartoonist, animator, and historian of comics. Among Shaw's comic-book work is Hanna-Barbera's ''The Flintstones'' (for Marvel Comics and Harvey Comics), ''Captain Carrot and His Amazing Zoo Crew'' (for DC Comics), and ''Simpsons Comics'' (for Bongo Comics). He was also the first artist for Archie Comics' ''Sonic the Hedgehog'' comic book series. Biography Shaw began selling his artwork while still in his teens after choosing a career as a cartoonist. Throughout the 1970s, he contributed numerous stories to various underground comix. Keith Edgar Knight Jr. (born August 24, 1966) is an American cartoonist and musician known for his accessible yet subversive comic strips '' The K Chronicles'', ''(Th)ink'', and ''The Knight Life''. Mark English (September 19, 1933 – August 8, 2019) was an American illustrator and painter, born in Hubbard, Texas. He was one of the United States' leading illustrators for publications in a career spanning from the 1960s to the 1990s, before beginning a career painting for gallery exhibition in 1995. Life Mark English was born on September 19, 1933, in Hubbard, Texas. He attended the Hubbard High School and graduated in 1951, after which he enrolled into the University of Texas. Drew Struzan (; born March 18, 1947) is an American artist, illustrator and cover designer. Louise Simonson (née Mary Louise Alexander; born September 26, 1946) is an American comic book writer and editor. She is best known for her work on comic book titles such as ''Conan the Barbarian'', ''Power Pack'', ''X-Factor'', ''New Mutants'', '' Superman: The Man of Steel'', and ''Steel''. Joe Simon
Joseph Henry Simon (October 11, 1913 – December 14, 2011) was an American comic book writer, artist, editor, and publisher. Simon created or co-created many important characters in the 1930s–1940s Golden Age of Comic Books and served as the first editor of Timely Comics, the company that would evolve into Marvel Comics.
