Greg Mueller
Greg Mueller (born June 2, 1971) is a German and Canadian professional poker player and former professional ice hockey defenceman. Mueller was born in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. He began playing professional ice hockey in 1992 and played his entire career in Germany, playing the Eishockey-Bundesliga for EC Hedos München and the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for Maddogs München and Ratinger Löwen. Mueller was drawn to poker after one of many long road trips during his hockey career. After retiring from hockey, he decided to take the game more seriously and began playing in tournaments. Since then, Mueller has cashed in many poker tournaments throughout his poker career. Mueller won his first World Series of Poker title in 2009 in the $10,000 limit Texas hold'em championship. 2009 World Series Of Poker
The 2009 World Series of Poker was the 40th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). It was held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ran from May 27 to July 15. There were 57 bracelet events, culminating in the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event. The "November Nine" concept returned for the second year, with the finalists of the Main Event returning to finish the tournament on November 7. Poker Tournament
A poker tournament is a tournament where players compete by playing poker. It can feature as few as two players playing on a single table (called a "heads up poker, heads-up" tournament), and as many as tens of thousands of players playing on thousands of tables. The winner of the tournament is usually the person who wins every poker chip in the game and the others are awarded places based on the time of their elimination. To facilitate this, in most tournaments, blind (poker), blinds rise over the duration of the tournament. Unlike in a Cash game, ring game (or cash game), a player's chips in a tournament cannot be cashed out for money and serve only to determine the player's placing. Texas hold 'em (also known as Texas holdem, hold 'em, and holdem) is one of the most popular variants of the card game of poker. Two cards, known as hole cards, are dealt face down to each player, and then five Community card poker, community cards are dealt face up in three stages.
