Greg Moore (ice Hockey)
Gregory Moore (born March 26, 1984) is an American professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League. He previously played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the New York Rangers and Columbus Blue Jackets and for the Augsburger Panther of the German Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). In 2018, he was named the head coach of the Chicago Steel in the United States Hockey League (USHL), a Tier I junior league. In 2019, he was named head coach of the Toronto Marlies. Playing career Moore was drafted in the 5th round, 143rd overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Calgary Flames. He played his college hockey at the University of Maine. Lisbon, Maine
Lisbon is a town in Androscoggin County, Maine. The population was 9,711 at the 2020 census. It is included in both the Lewiston- Auburn, Maine metropolitan statistical area and the Lewiston–Auburn, Maine Metropolitan New England city and town area. 2003 NHL Entry Draft
The 2003 NHL Entry Draft was the 41st NHL Entry Draft. It was held at the Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville, Tennessee on June 21 and 22, 2003. Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was selected first overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins. This was only the third time a goalie was selected first overall in the draft, after Michel Plasse in 1968 and Rick DiPietro in 2000. Eric Staal was selected second, by the Carolina Hurricanes, and Nathan Horton was the third selection, by the Florida Panthers. Many analysts rate this draft as having one of the most talented groups of players, some say even better than the 1979 NHL Draft. Every first-round pick went on to play in a regular season NHL game. Syracuse Crunch
The Syracuse Crunch are a professional ice hockey team in the American Hockey League (AHL). They play in Syracuse, New York, at the Upstate Medical University Arena. They are the primary development affiliate of the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning. History Vancouver and Pittsburgh affiliations (1994–2000) The franchise originated in 1992 as the Hamilton Canucks, which was an affiliate of the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. The Canucks played in Hamilton, Ontario, for two seasons, before relocating to upstate New York in 1994. They were then renamed the "Crunch" from a public vote that included five names. Dylan Paul Reese (born August 29, 1984) is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman. He last played with HV71 in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Early life Reese, who is Jewish, was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He is the son of Barry and Marcie Reese, grandson of Rita Reese and Agnes and Richard Hornak, and has a brother named Evan. He attended Upper St. Clair High School. Playing career Reese was drafted in 2000, in round 16 (#323 overall) by Belleville Bulls in the OHL Priority Selection. The Bridgeport Islanders (previously known as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers) are a professional ice hockey team playing in the American Hockey League (AHL). They are the AHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, who own the franchise. Chris Simon
Christopher J. Simon (born January 30, 1972) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger, who played 20 seasons of ice hockey: 15 seasons in the NHL and 5 seasons in the Kontinental Hockey League. He last played for Metallurg Novokuznetsk of the KHL. Known as an aggressive player, he was suspended eight times for a combined total of 65 games during his NHL career. Playing career Simon grew up in Wawa, Ontario, playing his minor hockey for the Wawa Flyers of the NOHA. As a Bantam, he played Jr.B. hockey for the Sault Ste.
