Gregory Percy Jones (born 4 January 1968), is a British lawyer, who has served as an Alderman of the City of London since 2017. Background and education Born in 1968 at Dartford, Kent, the son of Colin Frederick Jones and Jeannette Bridget ''née'' McDonald. He attended Pelham Road Infants and Primary Schools and passed the 11 plus. He was educated at Colfe's School (Exhibitioner), before winning the Leathersellers' Scholarship to go up to New College, Oxford, where he read Jurisprudence (graduating MA). Playing for New College First XV at rugby, he also served as President of Oxford Law Society in 1987 and Treasurer of the Oxford Union in 1988. Jones took a year out of education before pursuing further studies in law at the Inns of Court School of Law ( BVC) and University College London (LLM). Gregory Jones (born March 3, 1961) is an American retired basketball player. He was an NCAA Men's Basketball All-Americans, All-American player at West Virginia University and later Rookie of the Year in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). College career Jones, a 6'2" Guard (basketball), guard from Youngstown, Ohio, played collegiate basketball at West Virginia Mountaineers men's basketball, West Virginia.
