Greg Jarrett (radio Personality)
Gregory Jarrett (born December 1952) is an American broadcast journalist who was a longtime news reporter in San Francisco, mostly at KGO (AM). He became the morning drive radio host on WGN (AM) in Chicago in June 2009, a position in which he remained until December 2011. Professional career Jarrett was born in San Antonio, Texas; his family moved repeatedly, sending Jarrett to 16 grade schools and 3 high schools. His first radio job was as football play-by-play announcer for KANE (AM) when he was a high school senior in New Iberia, Louisiana. Jarrett joined KGO-AM in San Francisco in 1986 as an aviation and space reporter. In 1991, Jarrett reported for KGO-AM and KGO-TV from Saudi Arabia during the Persian Gulf War, also filing reports for the ABC Radio Network. In late 1992, Jarrett flew to Somalia to join the mass of media greeting U.S. troops there. Jonathon "Johnny B" Brandmeier (born July 15, 1956) is a Chicago radio personality and musician. Career Born John Francis Brandmeier to a German father and a Lebanese mother, Brandmeier started his radio career in 1973 at WFON in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. When he was 18 he joined WOSH in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, later working as a DJ at WYNE (now WHBY) in Appleton, Wisconsin, then at KLIV in San Jose, California, then as the morning jock at WYBR-FM (now WXRX) in Rockford, Illinois, and then in 1980 at WOKY in Milwaukee. In February 1981, he was brought on as the KZZP morning DJ in Phoenix, Arizona, where he participated in prank phone calls and silly song parodies. John Williams (born October 19, 1959) is an American talk radio show host at WGN (AM) in Chicago and previously at WCCO (AM) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Early life Williams was born in Chicago, Illinois, as John William Fillipitch. He attended grade school in different places while his father was in the U.S. Air Force, but the family moved back to Joliet, Illinois, after his father's retirement from the service. William "Spike" O'Dell (born May 21, 1953), a native of East Moline, Illinois, is an American former radio host for WGN Radio in Chicago, Illinois. He joined WGN in 1987 and hosted the afternoon show until 2000 when he took over for Bob Collins (American radio broadcaster), Bob Collins in the morning slot from 5 to 9 a.m, following the death of Collins. Walter Phillips (July 7, 1925 – March 26, 2008) was an American radio personality best known for hosting WGN's morning radio show from Chicago for 21 years from January 1965 until July 1986, and was number one in the morning slot from 1968 until he left for an afternoon radio slot in 1986. A pioneer of the radio call-in talk show format, Phillips delighted in a form now banned by the FCC: putting people on the air without their knowledge.
