Greg Feasel
Gregory Duane Feasel (born November 7, 1958) is an American professional sports figure. He played in the United States Football League (USFL) and National Football League (NFL) as an offensive tackle during the 1980s, and is currently the president and chief operating officer for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). Biography Born and raised in Barstow, California, Feasel graduated from Barstow High School, and initially attended Barstow Junior College. He transferred to Abilene Christian University (ACU) in Texas and he was later inducted as a member of the ACU Hall of Fame. His younger brother Grant (1960–2012) also played at ACU and in the National Football League (NFL). Unselected in the 1980 NFL Draft, Feasel failed to make an NFL team in his first three attempts. Tackle (American Football)
Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. The term "tackle" is a vestige of an earlier era of football in which the same players played both offense and defense. A tackle is the strong position on the offensive line. Grant Feasel
Grant Earl Feasel (June 28, 1960 – July 15, 2012) was an American football center in the National Football League (NFL) for the Baltimore/Indianapolis Colts, Minnesota Vikings, and Seattle Seahawks. Early years Born and raised in Barstow, California, Feasel graduated from Barstow High School in 1978, then was a standout football player and a first-team All-America center at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. In 1997, he was named to the NCAA Division II Team of the Quarter Century. Professional career Feasel was selected in the sixth round of the 1983 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Colts. He played in the 1983 season in Baltimore, then the franchise relocated to Indianapolis. He played part of the 1984 season, then was traded mid-season to the Minnesota Vikings. Keli Scott McGregor (January 23, 1963 – April 20, 2010) was a professional football player in the NFL and was president of the Colorado Rockies from 2001 until his death. School sport McGregor was a multi-sport athlete at Lakewood High School in Colorado before starring with the Colorado State Rams football team as a tight end. McGregor was a four-year starter at Colorado State University. Considered to be an undersized halfback when he arrived on campus, McGregor went from freshman walk-on to second-team all-American tight end in 1984. He grew to 6 ft 8 in and 250 lb, and went on to become an all-Western Athletic Conference tight end from 1982 to 1984.
