Greg Tarzan Davis is an American actor. He began in theater, moved to Los Angeles, and starting his acting career. In 2022, he played the role of Javy "Coyote" Machado in the '' Top Gun: Maverick'' film. In 2021, he received a recurring role on ABC's series ''Grey's Anatomy''. He also had a supporting role in the horror film ''Tales from the Hood 2'' (2018). Career Before becoming an actor, Davis worked as an elementary school teacher. "I realized it was time to change careers after preaching to my students that they should follow their dreams no matter what," he said. Davis created a weekly soap opera on Instagram titled ''Living with Jane'' and followed it with a sequel, ''Living with Jane 2''. He served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes football team until announcing his retirement on January 6, 2017 . He served as offensive coordinator for the 2005 national champion Texas Longhorns, where he was awarded the Broyles Award for the nation's top assistant coach for the 2005 season. Greg Davis (born July 26, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Davis was born in Calgary, and played junior hockey with the Olds Grizzlys in the Alberta Junior Hockey League before attending McGill University. He played two seasons (1999 – 2001) of CIAU hockey with the McGill Redmen, scoring scored 38 goals and 39 assists for 68 points while earning 48 penalty minutes in 48 games played. On May 5, 2001, Davis was signed as a free agent by the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League. He went on to play five seasons of professional hockey, including 111 games played in the American Hockey League with the Worcester IceCats. Charles Gregory Davis, known as Greg Davis (born February 22, 1966) is the former mayor of Southaven in northern Mississippi, the state's fourth largest city, from 1997 to 2013. Prior to serving as mayor, he represented the 7th district in the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was the Republican Party's nominee for Mississippi's 1st congressional district in the 2008 special and general elections. In 2012, he was convicted on charges of embezzlement, false pretense, and making fraudulent statements and was later sentenced, however his conviction was overturned in a 2017 retrial and found not guilty. Greg attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in December 2021. Gregory Tyler Davis is an American electronic musician who has recorded albums drawing from a wide variety of sources, including guitar, field recording, various world/ethnic/traditional instruments, percussion, and voice, all processed through digital manipulation. After years of experience in hip-hop groups, jazz combos, free improvisation, and experimental composition, Davis moved toward computer-based music in 1997. At Depaul University in Chicago, he studied classical and jazz guitar alongside composition and jazz studies. In 1997, he started his own label, Autumn Records, to release his own music and the music of others. Davis moved to Boston in 1999 to pursue a master's degree in composition (which he received in June 2001) while independently immersing himself in the study of electronic music.
