Greenock Juniors F.C.
Greenock Juniors Football Club are a Scottish football club based in Greenock, Inverclyde. They compete in and play home matches at Ravenscraig Stadium, on Auchmead Road - a five-minute walk from Branchton railway station. The club were decanted for a short period of time as the Stadium received multi-million pound upgrades in preparation for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. History In season 1959–60 Greenock made their only appearance in the final of the Scottish Junior Cup. They were beaten 3–1 by St Andrews United at Hampden Park, Glasgow in front of a crowd of 34,603. Their quarter-final tie against Johnstone Burgh earlier in the competition attracted a record attendance of 8,000 to Ravenscraig Stadium. Ravenscraig Stadium
Ravenscraig Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium, in Greenock, Inverclyde, Scotland. The stadium is primarily set up for athletics, with a running track, but it is also the traditional home of Greenock Juniors Football Club. The stadium underwent a £1.7 million refurbishment in preparation for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The stadium was built in 1958 with a cinder track, upgraded to synthetic in 1992. Replacement floodlighting was announced in 2015. In the 1959–60 season, a capacity crowd of 8,200 watched Greenock Juniors draw 1–1 in a Scottish Junior Cup quarter final with Johnstone Burgh. Thomas Molloy (footballer)
Craig Molloy (born 26 April 1986) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cambuslang Rangers, in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region. Career Molloy began his career in the youth teams of St Mirren before progressing to the senior side and making 21 appearances in the First Division and the SPL. Molloy went on loan to Second Division side Stirling Albion on 18 September 2008, until the end of December after Stirling lost both John O'Neill and Liam Corr to injury. Molloy had also been on loan at Forthbank towards the end of the previous season as well. He also spent a period on loan to Stenhousemuir, before signing with ''the Warriors'' permanently in July 2009. He then signed with Brechin City for the 2010–11 season. The Central District League First Division was the third-tier division of the West Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The two highest-placed teams at the end of the season were promoted to the Super League, First Division. The three lowest-placed teams were relegated to Central District Second Division. Greenock (; sco, Greenock; gd, Grianaig, ) is a town and administrative centre in the Inverclyde council area in Scotland, United Kingdom and a former burgh within the historic county of Renfrewshire, located in the west central Lowlands of Scotland. It forms part of a contiguous urban area with Gourock to the west and Port Glasgow to the east. Shaun Dillon (born 24 August 1984 in Greenock) is a Scottish football coach and former player, who played as a defender. He is currently co-manager of West of Scotland Football League club Kilbirnie Ladeside. He began his career with Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League and also played in the Scottish Football League for Greenock Morton, Queen of the South, Stenhousemuir.
