''Green Eyes'' is a 1977 American made-for-television war drama film directed by John Erman and written by Eugene Logan and David Seltzer. It is a "touching and moving story" about an Vietnam veteran Lloyd Dubeck (Paul Winfield) who went through a soul searching journey. The film was produced by Lorimar Productions and broadcast on ABC. David Seltzer
David Seltzer (born February 12, 1940) is an American screenwriter, producer and director, perhaps best known for writing the screenplays for ''The Omen'' (1976) and '' Bird on a Wire'' (1990). As writer-director, Seltzer's credits include the 1986 teen tragi-comedy '' Lucas'' starring Corey Haim, Charlie Sheen and Winona Ryder, the 1988 comedy ''Punchline'' starring Sally Field and Tom Hanks, and 1992's ''Shining Through'' starring Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas. John Otto "Buck" Young (April 12, 1920 – February 9, 2000) was an American actor who played the role as Sergeant Whipple on the ''Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.'' TV series, and Deputy Joe Watson on ''The Andy Griffith Show''. In 1944, during World War II, Young was drafted into the US Army Air Forces.
