Monsanto House Of The Future
The Monsanto House of the Future was an attraction at Disneyland's Tomorrowland in Anaheim, California, USA, from 1957 to 1967. It offered a tour of a futuristic home, and was intended to demonstrate the versatility of modern plastics. History Sponsored by Monsanto Company, the House of the Future was made possible by Monsanto, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Walt Disney Imagineering. With this project, Monsanto wanted to demonstrate plastic's versatility as a high-quality, engineered material. Innoventions (Epcot)
Innoventions was an ever-changing collection of exhibits at the EPCOT theme park in Walt Disney World, Florida. It focused on technological advancements and their practical applications in everyday life. Innoventions is a portmanteau of the words "innovation" and "invention". Innoventions first opened on July 1st, 1994, replacing Communicore in EPCOT. When the attraction opened, it prominently displayed games from various Sega consoles in an arcade style. The exhibit also featured "virtual reality" displays. Innoventions is divided into two buildings known as Innoventions East and Innoventions West. In 1999, Innoventions had a major renovation for the park's Millennium Celebration, and added the subtitle "The Road to Tomorrow". Pella (company)
The Pella Corporation is a privately held window and door manufacturing company headquartered in Pella, Iowa, and with manufacturing and sales operations in a number of locations in the United States. The company was founded in 1925 when Peter Kuyper and his wife Lucille invested $5,000 to buy the Rolscreen Company, a small business that had created the Rolscreen insect window screen that rolls out of sight when not in use.
