GreenOrder
GreenOrder was a management consulting group specialising in environmental sustainability. It was established in 2000 by Andrew L. Shapiro. History Shapiro got the idea for GreenOrder from the Wetlands Preserve, an environmentally friendly nightclub in the TriBeCa area of New York City. GreenOrder was acquired by LRN in 2008 and operated as a wholly owned subsidiary. GreenOrder worked with companies like Polo Ralph Lauren and General Motors. It worked with Saudi Basic Industries (SABIC) in making investments in green technologies and products. In 2011, GreenOrder Partner Truman Semans took part in delivering the keynote addresses at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi. Wetlands Preserve
Wetlands Preserve, commonly referred to as Wetlands, was a nightclub in New York City that opened in 1989 and closed in 2001. It was located at 161 Hudson Street in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood. Wetlands has been called "ground zero for post-Grateful Dead jam bands", fostering a community of semi-improvisational rock bands who went on to achieve mainstream success in the 1990s. History The original concept for the Wetlands Preserve came from founder-owner Larry Bloch, who set its course for over eight years before passing the helm to Peter Shapiro in 1997. TriBeCa
Tribeca (), originally written as TriBeCa, is a neighborhood in Lower Manhattan in New York City. Its name is a syllabic abbreviation of "Triangle Below Canal Street". The "triangle" (more accurately a quadrilateral) is bounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. By the 2010s, a common marketing tactic was to extend Tribeca's southern boundary to either Vesey or Murray streets to increase the appeal of property listings.
