The Greece women's national football team represents Greece in international women's football. The only international tournament the team took place in were the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Automatically qualified as hosts, Greece lost all three matches in their group without scoring a goal. The Lilleküla Stadium (known as A. Le Coq Arena for sponsorship reasons) is a football stadium in Tallinn, Estonia. It is the home ground of football club Flora and the Estonia national football team. With a capacity of 14,336, it is the largest football stadium in Estonia. History In July 1998, FC Flora football club submitted a planning application to Tallinn City Council, requesting permission to build a new stadium on wasteland between railway lines in Kitseküla, close to the border with neighbouring Lilleküla. Receiving the council's approval, Flora signed a 99-year lease on the estate and construction began in October 2000. The stadium was designed by Haldo Oravas. Veatriki Sarri (born 1 January 1998) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a Forward (association football), forward for English club Brighton & Hove Albion W.F.C., Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Women's Super League. Early life Sarri grew up in Crete and played football with her brother. Career Sarri moved to England to attend university in Leeds, and played for Leeds United L.F.C., Leeds United Ladies in 2017. She moved to Fylde Ladies, competing for the Lancashire club during the 2017–18 FA Women's Premier League, 2017–18 season. In September 2017, she suffered an injury in a game against Guiseley A.F.C. Sophia Koggouli (born 26 July 1991) is a Greek footballer who plays as a forward for Tavagnacco of the Italian Serie B and the Greece women's national football team, Greece national team. 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup Qualification – UEFA Group I
UEFA Group I of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification competition consists of six teams: France, Wales, Slovenia, Greece, Kazakhstan, and Estonia. The composition of the nine groups in the qualifying group stage was decided by the draw held on 30 April 2021, with the teams seeded according to their coefficient ranking. The group is played in home-and-away round-robin format between 17 September 2021 and 6 September 2022, with a pause for the Women's Euro 2022 in July. The European qualifying competition for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup was a women's football competition that determined the eleven UEFA teams which directly qualified for the final tournament in Australia and New Zealand, and the one team which advanced to the inter-confederation play-offs.
