Greatest (The Go-Go's Album)
''Greatest'' is a 1990 compilation album by the rock group The Go-Go's from California, United States. The record, which represents the first best-of album by the Go-Go's, includes most of the hits and stand-out tracks from the band's first three studio albums, 1981’s '' Beauty and the Beat'', 1982’s ''Vacation'', and 1984‘s ''Talk Show'', only omitting three minor hit singles, " He's So Strange," "This Old Feeling" and " Yes or No". The collection does not include any new songs, except for a re-recording of the 1960s cover version of " Cool Jerk" (the 'original' version of the cover was already on the Go-Go's second album, ''Vacation''), which was also released as the one single from the compilation, reaching #60 in the UK Singles Chart, in 1991, this way becoming the second Go-Go's song to ever enter the British charts (the third and highest UK hit from the band would eventually be "The Whole World Lost Its Head", peaking at #29, from their second Greatest Hits album, 19 ...

Greatest (Duran Duran Album)
''Greatest'' is a greatest hits album by English new wave/synth-pop band Duran Duran, released in 1998. Background and release ''Greatest'' is an update of the 1989 tenth anniversary compilation album, ''Decade''. The new release includes songs from their eponymous debut album through 1997's ''Medazzaland'' (excluding 1995's ''Thank You''). The album includes all 14 songs featured in ''Decade'', plus "New Moon on Monday" and four singles from the '90s. However, several songs on the disc are presented in their edited forms in order to fit on a single CD. In addition, the disc oddly uses an edit of "Rio" that was not actually used on any of the song's US single releases, and to this day, has not appeared on any release other than ''Greatest'' or '' The Essential Collection''. The album was released by EMI after parting ways with the band following the disastrous ''Medazzaland'' album release in 1997, marking the first of many releases designed to capitalize on the band's exten ...

Greatness
Greatness is a concept of a state of superiority affecting a person or object in a particular place or area. Greatness can also be attributed to individuals who possess a natural ability to be better than all others. An example of an expression of the concept in a qualified sense would be "Hector is the definition of greatness" or "Napoleon was one of the greatest wartime leaders". In the unqualified sense it might be stated "George Washington achieved greatness within his own lifetime", thus implying that "greatness" is a definite and identifiable quality. Application of the terms "great" and "greatness" is dependent on the perspective and subjective judgements of those who apply them. Whereas in some cases the perceived greatness of a person, place or object might be agreed upon by many, this is not necessarily the case, and the perception of greatness may be both fiercely contested and highly idiosyncratic.
