''Greatest Hits'' is a second greatest hits album by American rapper Kool Moe Dee. It was released in 1993 through Jive Records, making it his first compilation album on the label. The album collects Kool Moe Dee's most popular singles recorded from 1986 to 1991 during his career with Jive Records and also contains four newly recorded songs: "Gimme My Props", "Look At Me Now", "Whosgotdaflava" and "Can U Feel It", which was also released as a single. Kool Moe Dee
Mohandas Dewese (born August 8, 1962), better known by his stage name Kool Moe Dee, is an American rapper, writer and actor. Considered one of the forerunners of the new jack swing sound in hip hop, he gained fame in the 1980s as a member of one of the pioneering groups in hip hop music, the Treacherous Three, and for his later solo career. During his career he released a total of seven studio albums (five of them solo), with 1994's ''Interlude'' being the last to date. His fast and aggressive rap style influenced following rap figures such as Big Daddy Kane, Beastie Boys, KRS-One, Rakim, Will Smith, N.W.A, Tupac Shakur, Nas, Jay-Z, among others. Fred McFarlane
Frederick Craig McFarlane (November 14, 1959 – September 3, 2016) was an American R&B songwriter, record producer and multi-instrumentalist. McFarlane's career as a songwriter and producer spanned more than 30 years. He wrote or co-wrote a number of R&B and dance hits including Jenny Burton's " Bad Habits" in 1985; Robin S.' 1993 debut single " Show Me Love" which he co-wrote with Allen George; and Jason Derulo's "Don't Wanna Go Home". "Scenario" is the third single from A Tribe Called Quest's second album '' The Low End Theory''. The song features members of the rap group Leaders of the New School. Matt Cibula of ''PopMatters'' called the track hip-hop's greatest posse cut. The song is commonly considered a breakout moment for Leaders of the New School member Busta Rhymes, who was 19 when this song was released. Gloria Lavern Collins (June 12, 1948 – March 13, 2005), better known as Lyn Collins, was an American soul singer best known for working with James Brown in the 1970s and for the influential 1972 funk single, "Think (About It)". A favorite among hip hop, R&B, and dance music producers for decades, Collins is by far the most sampled female artist of all time, with portions of her recordings used in well over 3,500 songs. "Think (About It)" is a funk song recorded by Lyn Collins and released as a single on James Brown's People Records in 1972. The recording was produced by Brown (who also wrote the song) and features instrumental backing from his band The J.B.'s. It was the title track of Collins' 1972 debut album. The song is very popular for its raw drumbeat dressed with tambourine and multiple background vocals, which suggest the song was recorded altogether in one take, with Jabo Starks playing drums. It peaked at No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' Best Selling Soul Singles chart and No. 66 on the Hot 100. Owing to the composition, it became a fan favourite and has been featured on various compilation albums posthumously.
