Greatest Hits (David Cassidy Album)
''Greatest Hits'' is a compilation album by David Cassidy, initially released in 1974 by Bell Records. This album contains songs that were recorded during the first phase of David Cassidy's musical career. All of the songs contained in this collection were recorded between 1970 and 1974 during the time he was starring in The Partridge Family television series. Of the eleven songs contained in this compilation, three songs were taken from Partridge Family albums and the song "If I Didn't Care" had only been released as a single in Europe and was not available in the U.S. prior to this album. Also note that Could It Be Forever was not issued as noted on the album. Instead it was the B-side of that song called Blind Hope. Clearly an error. David Cassidy
David Bruce Cassidy (April 12, 1950 – November 21, 2017) was an American actor, singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He was best known for his role as Keith Partridge, the son of Shirley Partridge (played by his stepmother, Shirley Jones), in the 1970s musical-sitcom ''The Partridge Family''. This role catapulted Cassidy to teen idol status as a superstar pop singer of the 1970s. Gerald Goffin (February 11, 1939 – June 19, 2014) was an American lyricist. Edward Brigati Jr. (born October 22, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter. He was the co-lead vocalist, along with Felix Cavaliere, and percussionist in the rock group The Young Rascals from 1964 to 1970. Prior to his stint with The Young Rascals (who later shortened their name to The Rascals), Brigati had been a member of Joey Dee and the Starliters (having replaced his brother, original Starliter David Brigati, in that group). Felix Cavaliere (born November 29, 1942) is an American musician and singer-songwriter. He is best known for being the lead vocalist and keyboard player for the Young Rascals. Although he was a member of Joey Dee and the Starliters, known for their hit "Peppermint Twist", he is best known for his association with the Young Rascals during the 1960s.
