Greater Kingston National Park
Greater Kingston National Park is a national park in the South West (Western Australia), South West region of Western Australia, south of Perth. It is located in the Shires of Shire of Bridgetown–Greenbushes, Bridgetown–Greenbushes, Shire of Boyup Brook, Boyup Brook and Shire of Manjimup, Manjimup. It is located in the Jarrah Forest bioregion. The national park is located in old growth forest of Eucalyptus marginata, jarrah and Eucalyptus wandoo, wandoo woodlands. Greater Kingston National Park was created in 2004 as Class A reserve No. 47762 with a size of by an act of parliament by the Parliament of Western Australia on 8 December 2004, as one of 19 national parks declared in the state that day. Warren River (Western Australia)
The Warren River is a river in the South West (Western Australia), South West region of Western Australia with a Drainage basin, catchment encompassing the towns of Manjimup and Pemberton, Western Australia, Pemberton. The river was named by Governor James Stirling (Royal Navy officer), James Stirling, probably after Admiral Sir John Borlase Warren under whom Stirling served whilst in action in North America in 1813. Numbat
The numbat (''Myrmecobius fasciatus''), also known as the noombat or walpurti, is an insectivorous marsupial. It is diurnal and its diet consists almost exclusively of termites. The species was once widespread across southern Australia, but is now restricted to several small colonies in Western Australia. It is therefore considered an endangered species and protected by conservation programs. Numbats were recently re-introduced to fenced reserves in South Australia and New South Wales.
