Great Urban Race
The Great Urban Race was an annual event held from 2007 to 2014. Advertised as 'part adventure, part scavenger hunt' it consisted of teams solving clues along a short course of at maximum six miles to be completed in any order. The clues, consisting of mental and physical challenges, required the participants to be at certain locations within the course. They could reach these check points either by foot or using public transport with other methods of transportation disallowed. The winner of the event was the team who solved all clues correctly in the fastest time. The winner, as well as the other teams in the top twenty-five, qualified for a major event held annually, and the grand winner of the finale would receive a $10,000 reward. The Amazing Race
''The Amazing Race'' is an adventure reality game show franchise in which teams of two people race around the world in competition with other teams. The ''Race'' is split into legs, with teams tasked to deduce clues, navigate themselves in foreign areas, interact with locals, and perform physical and mental challenges that often highlight aspects of a location's culture, history, or economy. Over the course of the ''Race'', teams travel by airplanes, helicopters, trucks, bicycles, taxicabs, cars, trains, buses, boats and by foot. Teams are progressively eliminated at the end of most legs for being the last to arrive at designated Pit Stops, until only three remain. The first team to arrive at the finish line is awarded the grand prize.
