Gravion
is a Japanese anime television series produced by Gonzo. It aired in Japan from October 7, 2002 to December 16, 2002 and ran for 13 episodes. In 2004, was released and aired from January 8 to March 25 in Japan, running for twelve additional episodes, answering the questions generated from the first series. Both ''Gravion'' and ''Gravion Zwei'' were created and directed by Masami Ōbari with mecha designs from Kunio Okawara. Both series were released in North America by ADV Films. After ADV Films lost the rights to the series, the series was re-licensed by Funimation (now Crunchyroll). Plot In ''Gravion'', Eiji Shigure is sent a letter from his missing older sister Ayaka Shigure. Responding to its message, his search for her leads him to the mysterious billionaire Klein Sandman, and Eiji secretly infiltrates his enormous ''Saint-Germain Castle'' while he is hosting a party for Earth Federation Alliance (EFA) leaders, in order to find her. Masami Ōbari
is a noted Japanese anime director, animation director and mecha and character designer. Biography After graduating from high school in 1985, Masami Obari began his career when he joined the animation studio Ashi Production, where he worked on shows such as ''Special Armored Battalion Dorvack'', ''Transformers'' (outsourced by Toei Animation to them sometimes), and '' Star Musketeer Bismarck''. Soon after, at the age of 19, he got his first major break when he landed the role of mecha designer on ''Dancouga – Super Beast Machine God''. Kunio Okawara
is a mechanical designer in the Japanese anime industry. Okawara was the first in the industry to be specifically credited as a mechanical designer. He designed mecha for the ''Gundam'' and ''Brave Series'' franchises, as well as those of numerous Super Robot and Real Robot shows. He was born and currently lives in Inagi, Tokyo, where he works out of a studio in his home.
