Stefan Sagmeister
Stefan Sagmeister (born August 6, 1962) is an Austrian graphic designer, storyteller, and typographer based in New York City. In 1993, Sagmeister founded his company, Sagmeister Inc., to create designs for the music industry. He has designed album covers for Lou Reed, OK Go, The Rolling Stones, David Byrne, Jay Z, Aerosmith, Talking Heads, Brian Eno and Pat Metheny. From 2011 until 2019 he partnered with Jessica Walsh under the name Sagmeister & Walsh Inc. Michael O'Brien (born June 27, 1950) is an American photographer noted for his portraiture and documentary photography. Over the past four decades, O'Brien has photographed subjects from presidents, celebrities, and financiers to small-town Texans, including ranchers, beauty queens, writers, and bar owners. Bill Diodato is an American advertising and editorial photographer, based in New York City. His work has been featured in various media platforms including magazines, books, television and film. Career Diodato was born and raised in New England and was drawn to graphic design and advertising at an early age, which eventually led him to pursue commercial photography. Massimo Vignelli
Massimo Vignelli (; January 10, 1931 – May 27, 2014) was an Italian designer who worked in a number of areas including packaging, houseware, furniture, public signage, and showroom design. He was the co-founder of Vignelli Associates, with his wife, Lella Vignelli, Lella. His motto was, "If you can design one thing, you can design everything," which the broad range of his work reflects. Vignelli worked firmly within the modernism, modernist tradition. Michael Vanderbyl (born February 9, 1947) is a multidisciplinary designer and design educator based in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the principal of Vanderbyl Design. Biography Michael Vanderbyl was born February 9, 1947, in Oakland, California. Vanderbyl received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design in 1968 from California College of the Arts (CCA). He taught graphic design at CCA for more than 30 years, from 1973 to 2014 and served as the Dean of Design from 1986 to 2002. Ikko Tanaka (田中 一光, ''Tanaka Ikkō'', January 13, 1930 – January 10, 2002) was a Japanese graphic designer. One of the most significant figures in postwar Japanese graphic design, Tanaka is widely recognized for his prolific body of interdisciplinary work, which includes graphic identity and visual matter for brands and corporations including Muji, Seibu Department Stores, Mazda, Issey Miyake, Hanae Mori, and Expo 85 (Tsukuba, Japan), Expo 85. Atlas
An atlas is a collection of maps; it is typically a bundle of maps of Earth or of a region of Earth. Atlases have traditionally been bound into book form, but today many atlases are in multimedia formats. In addition to presenting geographic features and political boundaries, many atlases often feature geopolitical, social, religious and economic statistics. They also have information about the map and places in it. Etymology The use of the word "atlas" in a geographical context dates from 1595 when the German-Flemish geographer Gerardus Mercator published ("Atlas or cosmographical meditations upon the creation of the universe and the universe as created"). Astrid Stavro (born Astrid Christina Antonia Stavro di Santarosa y Marone-Cinzano on 2 April 1972) is an Italian graphic designer based in London.
