Granville Anderson
Granville Earl Anderson (born ) is a Canadian politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2014 to 2018 who represented the riding of Durham. Anderson served as Regional Councillor for Wards 3 & 4 on the municipal council in Clarington, from 2018 to 2022. He is currently Regional Councillor for Wards 1 & 2 of Clarington. Background Anderson was born in Jamaica and moved to Canada with his family when he was 13. He attended the University of Windsor where he obtained a certificate in mediation law, and earned a business administration diploma through Seneca College. He was elected as a separate school trustee in 2003, and was eventually elected as the chair of Peterborough, Victoria, Northumberland, and Clarington Catholic District School Board. John O'Toole
John O'Toole (born ) is a retired politician in Ontario, Canada. He was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1995 to 2014, representing the riding of Durham for the Progressive Conservative Party. Background O'Toole is the son of Ruth Annabel (Driscoll) and Claire Michael O'Toole. His ancestors arrived in Canada in 1845, fleeing the Great Famine of Ireland. The 2022 Ontario general election will be held on or before June 2, 2022, to elect Members of Provincial Parliament to serve in the 43rd Parliament of Ontario. As of December 2016, Ontario elections are held on the first Thursday in June in the fourth calendar year following the previous general election. The Legislative Assembly of Ontario can be dissolved earlier by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario due to a motion of no confidence or if the Premier triggers a snap election.
