Grant Hunter
Grant Roy Hunter (born November 9, 1967) is a Canadian politician who was elected in the 2015 and 2019 Alberta general elections to represent the electoral districts of Cardston-Taber-Warner and Taber-Warner in the 29th and 30th Alberta Legislature, respectively. Before Politics Hunter has owned and operated his own commercial/residential construction company for over 2 decades. Earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree (Economics and Political Science) and a Master’s of Business Administration degree. Political career In opposition Hunter was elected in the 2015 Alberta general election, initially with the Wildrose. The 30th Alberta Legislative Assembly was constituted after the general election on April 16, 2019. The United Conservative Party (UCP), led by Jason Kenney, won a majority of seats and formed the government. Tanya Fir
Tanya Fir (born 1975) is a Canadian politician who was elected in the 2019 Alberta general election to represent the electoral district of Calgary-Peigan in the 30th Alberta Legislature. She is a member of the United Conservative Party. On April 30, 2019, she was appointed to be the Minister for Economic Development, Trade and Tourism in the Executive Council of Alberta, holding that role until August 25, 2020. In August 2018, Fir beat former Ontario MP Jeff Watson (politician), Jeff Watson and past Wildrose candidate Jeevan Mangat to secure her party's nomination. Her nomination campaign manager was longtime provincial Conservative party organizer Craig Chandler. In January 2021, Fir was found to be vacationing in Las Vegas despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and advisory against nonessential travel.
