Grant Gillespie (footballer)
Grant Gillespie (born 2 July 1991) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Greenock Morton. He has previously played for Hamilton Academical, Dundee United, Raith Rovers, Derry City, Ayr United and Queen's Park. Career Hamilton Academical Gillespie made his senior debut for Hamilton Academical on 15 August 2009, in a Scottish Premier League match against Kilmarnock. In May 2011, he signed a new two-year contract with Hamilton. In May 2012, Gillespie urged manager Billy Reid to make him a first-team regular for the forthcoming 2012–13 season. In January 2012, after making an "impact" as a substitute in the previous game, Gillespie spoke publicly about his desire to start the team's next match. In February 2013, he commented that he wanted a win in the upcoming derby against Airdrieonians. In April 2013, Gillespie signed a new two-year contract with the club. Bellshill
Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. The town of Bellshill itself (including the villages of Orbiston and Mossend) has a population of about 20,650. 2013–14 Scottish Premiership
The 2013–14 Scottish Premiership was the first season of the Scottish Premiership, the highest division of Scottish football. The season began on 2 August 2013 and concluded on 11 May 2014. This was the first season of the competition being part of the newly formed Scottish Professional Football League after the merger of the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League. This season also featured the introduction of an end of season play-off between the 11th-placed team in the top flight and the teams placed 2nd–4th in the Scottish Championship, to determine whether a second team will be relegated from the league. The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013.
