Grannar
''Grannar'' (Neighbors) is a politically independent local Norwegian newspaper, covering events in Etne in Vestland county and Vindafjord in Rogaland county. ''Grannar'' is published two times a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. The newspaper employs 11 people and it is published in Nynorsk. The paper's office is in the village of Etne. ''Grannar'' was originally established as a newspaper for the municipalities of Ølen (now the northern part of the municipality of Vindafjord) and Etne. The paper then merged with the former local newspaper ''Vindafjordingen'' in 1989, after which it also covered events in the municipality of Vindafjord. The newspaper is edited by Arne Frøkedal. The National Association of Local Newspapers ( no, Landslaget for lokalaviser, LLA) is a Norwegian association for local newspapers. The organization was established in Voss in 1976, and it works for its member companies' general conditions and interests. Among the first issues it dealt with was inclusion of the smallest local newspapers in the direct press support system, which occurred in 1989. The association is now a co-owner of the Norwegian Audit Bureau of Circulations, the company responsible for monitoring newspapers' circulation figures. These figures are the basis for receiving press subsidies. The association also represents its member companies in various government agencies and committees. The National Association of Local Newspapers is not a tariff organization, and therefore does not negotiate on behalf of its member companies. Etne is a List of municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the Traditional districts of Norway, traditional district of Sunnhordland, although it is also sometimes considered to be part of the district of Haugaland.
