Granite County Jail
The Granite County Jail, located on Kearney St. in Philipsburg in Granite County, Montana, was built in 1896. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is a red brick building which was still in use as a jail in 1980. Philipsburg is a town in and the county seat of Granite County, Montana, United States. The population was 841 at the 2020 census. The town was named after the famous mining engineer Philip Deidesheimer, who designed and supervised the construction of the ore smelter around which the town originally formed.
