Grand Prix Of Indianapolis (Indy Lights)
The Indy Lights Grand Prix of Indianapolis is a pair of twin races in the Cooper Tire Indy Lights Series, held on the road course at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It is held as a support race to the Brickyard 400 of the NASCAR Cup Series. The race was previously known as the Liberty Challenge from 2005 to 2007. It originally was held as a support race to the United States Grand Prix, and from 2014 to 2019, it was part of the IndyCar Series. For 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the race be on its own weekend September 3–4, as neither road course weekend was suitable. Alex Stewart Lloyd (born December 28,1984) is a British former motor racing driver. He was close friends with multiple Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton during his karting and early career. Early career Lloyd was born in Manchester, England. At the age of nine, he began racing karts in the British Super One Championship and the European championship. 2017 Indy Lights
The 2017 Indy Lights season was the 32nd season of the Indy Lights open wheel motor racing series and the 16th sanctioned by IndyCar, acting as the primary support series for the IndyCar Series. A 16-race schedule was announced on September 14, 2016. The schedule included a stop at Gateway Motorsports Park for the first time since 2003. This replaced the race at Phoenix International Raceway after it returned to the schedule for only a single season. Dean Stoneman
Dean Colin Stoneman (born July 24, 1990) is a British racing driver. Stoneman was the 2010 Formula Two champion. Career Like many drivers, Stoneman began his career in karting. He made his first steps in single-seaters in 2006 when he competed in selected rounds of the Formula Renault BARC. He raced in the series full-time in 2007, finishing as runner-up to Hywel Lloyd. He also finished sixth in the Formula Renault 2.0 UK Winter Series. Stoneman moved to the main Formula Renault 2.0 UK championship in 2008 and took three wins on his way to fourth in the standings. Edward Jones (born 12 February 1995) is an Emirati-born British racing driver, currently competing in an Oreca 07 for Jota Sport in the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship. At different points in his career, Jones has competed under both British and Emirati licences. He is the 2016 Indy Lights champion, winning for Carlin Motorsport in his second season in the series. 2016 Indy Lights Season
The 2016 Indy Lights season was a season of open wheel motor racing. It was the 31st season of the Indy Lights series and the 15th sanctioned by IndyCar, acting as the primary support series for the IndyCar Series. Dubai born British sophomore driver Ed Jones won the championship by a narrow two point margin over rookie Uruguayan Santiago Urrutia. Jones won two races compared to Urrutia's four wins but Jones more consistently finished on the podium. American Kyle Kaiser won twice and made few mistakes and finished third in points. Sean Rayhall
Sean Rayhall (born March 10, 1995 in Winston, Georgia) is a racing driver. He competed in the LMP3 class of the European Le Mans Series, winning the championship in 2017. He has also previously raced in the GT Daytona class of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, in addition to stock cars and formula cars, where in the latter, he earned a test opportunity with Chip Ganassi Racing. Jack Harvey (born 15 April 1993) is a British auto racing driver who competes full-time in the NTT IndyCar Series, driving the No. 30 Chevrolet for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and a former member of McLaren's Young Driver Programme. The 2015 Indy Lights season was the 30th season of the Indy Lights open wheel motor racing series and the 14th sanctioned by IndyCar, acting as the primary support series for the IndyCar Series.
