Grand Prix du Morbihan is a single-day men's road bicycle race held annually in May around Plumelec, in the region of Brittany, France. Since 2020, the race is organised as a UCI race classifications, 1.Pro event on the UCI ProSeries, also being part of the French Road Cycling Cup. A women's race, the Grand Prix du Morbihan Féminin, has been held the same day since 2011. 2021 Grand Prix Du Morbihan
The 2021 Grand Prix du Morbihan was the 44th edition of the Grand Prix du Morbihan, a one-day road cycling race held on 16 October 2021 in and around Grand-Champ, Morbihan, in the Brittany region of northwestern France. This edition was the race's first in the UCI ProSeries; the 2020 edition was expected to feature in the inaugural UCI ProSeries but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was also the fifteenth and penultimate event of the 2021 French Road Cycling Cup. The race was originally due to be held on 15 May but was postponed by COVID-19 precautions. The race began in Grand-Champ and headed southeast through the Regional Natural Park of the Gulf of Morbihan, passing through the towns of Saint-Avé, Treffléan, and Theix-Noyalo en route to the southernmost point of the race near Surzur. French Road Cycling Cup
The French Road Cycling Cup (English for Coupe de France de cyclisme sur route) is a road bicycle racing competition under the Fédération Francaise de Cyclisme (French Cycling Federation) each year since 1992. It consists of a number of one-day races in France each year. Each of these races is open for all riders, but until 2015 only French riders and riders who were part of a French team were able to score points for the French Road Cycling Cup. As of 2016, all riders score points. The team competition remains a contest between the French teams only. The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), the world's governing body in the sport of bicycle racing, classifies races according to a rating scale.
