The Gran Premio Nobili Rubinetterie was a single-day road bicycle race held annually in Arona (NO), Arona, Italy between 1997 and 2015. It was held primarily as a UCI race classifications, 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. Road bicycle racing is the cycle sport discipline of road cycling, held primarily on Road surface, paved roads. Team Polti
Team Polti was an Italian professional cycling team. It became an independent team in 1994, after the separation of Lampre-Polti, and was active until 2000. Team Polti began in 1994 with Gianluigi Stanga as directeur sportif and Vittorio Algeri and Claudio Corti as managers. The team used Fausto Coppi bikes. Other directeur sportifs included Giosuè Zenoni, Antonio Bevilacqua and Giovanni Fidanza. Team Polti gave Richard Virenque a chance after he was ejected from the 1998 Tour de France and while maintaining his innocence, his former teammates at Festina admitted taking EPO. Virenque joined Team Polti for the 1999 and 2000 seasons where he won the Mountains classification at the 1999 and 2000 Tour de France. 2015 Gran Premio Nobili Rubinetterie
The 2015 Gran Premio Nobili Rubinetterie was the 18th and final edition of the Gran Premio Nobili Rubinetterie one-day cycling classic, organised by the Associazione Ciclista Arona. The race took place on 19 March 2015. For the only time in the race's history, it was rated as a 1.HC race as part of the 2015 UCI Europe Tour; all previous editions were at the lower 1.1 rank. The defending champion from the 2014 edition was Simone Ponzi (), who also won the race in 2011. The race took place around Lake Maggiore in the Italian region of Piedmont, finishing in the town of Stresa. A large group broke away from the peloton after . These riders stayed away for about , when the groups came back together. There were late attacks from riders including Alejandro Valverde () and Davide Rebellin (), but these were controlled by the sprinters' teams. De Nardi was a professional cycling team based in Italy. Founded under a Slovak license, they helped nurture talented young riders. In 2003, the merged with Team Colpack-Astro, and took on Colpack as a co-sponsor. In 2005, Italian hotel group Domina Vacanze sponsored the team, having formerly sponsored a different team. For the 2005 season the team competed in the 2005 UCI ProTour. However, they didn't have the budget of the other teams and produced very few wins. The UCI Continental Circuits are a series of road bicycle racing competitions which were introduced in 2005 by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) to expand cycling around the world.
