Gramofon
Gramofon is a record label and event agency founded in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2003. It's the biggest music label of alternative music in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since 2003, Gramofon has organized more than 200 concerts and music events. It is also the organizer of the Sarajevo Jazz Festival and Xenophonia festival. Gramofon is the exclusive distributor for Bosnia and Herzegovina of the labels ECM Records, Enja Records, ACT Music, Doublemoon Records, Pi Recordings, ESC Records, and Intakt Records Intakt Records is an independent record label, based in Zürich. Zoster (band)
Zoster is a pop-reggae group from Bosnia and Herzegovina formed in Mostar in 2000. They released four studio albums, and new studio album named "Najgori", which will have 10 songs, is expected to be released in 2023. Slogan of the band and concert greeting is "Band Zoster, Your Band". History The group was formed in the fall of 2000 on the initiative of Mario Knezović and Dražan Planinić. The name Zoster appeared after Mario got over herpes zoster, a virus that lives in the human body, and when the immunity drops, it manifests itself on the surface of the skin in the form of a rash and spreads over time, and the Zoster group was created as a result of the drop in society's immunity. Zoster believes that reggae music is suitable for these dangerous areas where the dose of aggressiveness even in music is too much. My Music (Sikter's Album)
My Music is the third and most successful studio album by Bosnian alternative rock band Sikter. It was released on 21 August 2005 by Bosnian label Gramofon. Album was recorded from 2003 to 2005 at MML Studio in Sarajevo Sarajevo ( ; cyrl, Сарајево, ; ''see names in other languages'') is the capital and largest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a population of 275,524 in its administrative limits. The Sarajevo metropolitan area including Sarajevo ... and mixed at MGKS Studio in Sarajevo 2005. Cover of album was made by bassist of the band Dragan Rokvić. Sikter had great success with this album and they won "Best Music Video" award on Davorin Music Awards 2006 for music video of title song "My Music". Sikter
Sikter is a Bosnian alternative rock band from Sarajevo. The band was formed in 1990 as a punk rock project of a few students, but became one of the most successful Bosnian rock bands. The name of the band is translated as ''Buzz Off''! From 1990 they changed line-ups many times, as well as musical styles. Their first songs were parodies of Yugoslavian pop songs. Sikter became the first band from Bosnia and Herzegovina whose video clip ''Pain In Brain'' was broadcast on MTV for several months. They recorded four albums: '' Now, Always, Never'' in 2000, '' Queen of the Disco'' in 2002, '' My Music'' in 2005 and '' Ego Trip'' in 2009. "Don't You Miss Me" is a single by Bosnian band Sikter from the album My Music, written and produced by Enes Zlatar and Dragan Rokvić. It was released as a single on May 27, 2005, by Gramofon as only single from the album. Except original version there are three remixes of the song, remixed and produced by Bosnian artists: Edward EQ, DJ Ahmaad, Basheskia and Branski. Adi Lukovac
Adi Lukovac (9 September 1970 – June 18 2006) was a Bosnian musician, best known as the pioneer of electronic music in Bosnia and Herzegovina and leader of the Bosnian industrial band Adi Lukovac & The Ornaments. Lukovac founded the band Ornamenti (''The Ornaments'') during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992. In 1996 he founded the label ''Post War Sound Records'' (PWS). With the band Ornamenti, two albums were recorded: ''Pomjeranja'' (''Movements'') in 1999 and ''Fluid'' in 2001. He had also worked on many other music projects as a solo artist. On June 18, 2006, Lukovac died in a car accident near the town Ilidža, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Biography Adi Lukovac was born 1970 in Sarajevo. Damir Imamović
Damir Imamović (born 1978) is a Bosnian musician, singer, composer and author of the traditional music of Bosnia and Herzegovina, "sevdalinka" or "sevdah". The winner of "The Best Artist of Europe" in 2021 Songlines World Music Awards. Early life Imamović was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina into a musical family. His father Nedžad Imamović (1948-2020), is a bass player, producer, singer and author, while his paternal grandfather Zaim Imamović (1920–1994), was a legendary musician and traditional Bosnian folk singer, famous in the 1940s and 1960s. Damir spent his formative years (1992–1995) living in the besieged city of Sarajevo. He picked up playing guitar when he was 15. Later on he studied philosophy. Amira Medunjanin
Amira Medunjanin (; born 23 April 1972) is a Bosnian singer and interpreter of sevdalinka. She holds both citizenship of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dubioza kolektiv (also known simply as Dubioza) is a Bosnian avant-garde dub rock group known for their crossover style that incorporates elements of hip hop, dub, ska, reggae, rock, punk, electronic music, and Balkan music, and for their socially and politically conscious songwriting with lyrics in multiple languages. In 2015, Dubioza kolektiv was referred to as the most popular Bosnian musical act.
