Graham Edwards (politician)
Graham John Edwards AM (born 18 July 1946) is an Australian soldier, veterans' advocate and Labor Party member who represented the electorate of Cowan in the Australian House of Representatives from 1998 to 2007. He was born in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and voluntarily joined the Australian Army for service in the Vietnam War in 1968. On 12 May 1970, he was severely injured, losing both legs. After leaving the Army he joined the Department of Defence as an officer with the Vietnam Veterans' Counselling Service. He was elected to the Council of the City of Stirling in 1981. Edwards was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council in 1983. Graham Edwards (writer)
Graham Edwards (born 1965) is an English author of fantasy and crime novels. His most popular books have generally featured dragons as their central characters. Born in Somerset and raised in Bournemouth, Edwards studied art and design. He went on to work as a graphic designer and animator before developing his writing career in the 1990s. He often includes illustrations with his novels. Edwards now lives in Nottingham with his wife and two children. Body of work Edwards' major body of work consists of two related fantasy trilogies: the Ultimate Dragon Saga trilogy and the Stone trilogy (also known as the Amara trilogy). The former series of books is a fantasy work set in times before humans, and as such there are no human characters in the novels. Jock Edwards
Graham Neil Edwards (27 May 1955 – 6 April 2020) was a New Zealand cricketer. He played eight Test matches and six One Day Internationals for New Zealand. Life and career Edwards was born in Nelson, and attended Nelson College. He was a short, stocky wicketkeeper who was a good enough batsman to make his Test debut against Australia in 1976–77 as a specialist. He was brought back in 1977–78 as a wicketkeeper-batsman and made 55 and 54 on his comeback against England at Auckland. That won him selection for the England tour in 1978 where his performances were disappointing – one member of the BBC commentary team said that Edwards was "the worst wicketkeeper I've ever seen ... he's made mistakes you'd have the 3rd XI 'keeper at school running round the pitch for". The Matrix is an American-British songwriting and record production team, consisting of Lauren Christy, Scott Spock, and Graham Edwards. In 1999, the production team took on their first project, the Jackson Mendoza song "Venus or Mars"; it was intended to be a one-off project. Christy, Spock, and Edwards enjoyed the songwriting and production process, which prompted them to form a production team. The team chose their name, the Matrix, as they wanted to remain in the background and allow the artists they work with to further stand out. The Matrix's breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of Avril Lavigne's debut studio album '' Let Go'', in which they co-wrote and produced five songs. Three of the songs became top ten singles on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart (" Complicated", "Sk8er Boi", and " I'm with You") and their work with Lavigne collectively earned them seven Grammy Award nominations in 2003 and 2004.
