Graeme Fellowes
Graeme Fellowes (29 January 1934 – 24 January 2013) was a professional Australian rules footballer who played for Collingwood in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the late 1950s and early 1960s. After managing just eight games in his first three home and away seasons, Fellowes burst onto the scene in the 1958 finals series. He came on the field in the Semi Final against Melbourne Football Club as 19th man and the tall and lanky ruckman dominated, cementing his spot in the side for the rest of September including the 1958 premiership. Fellowes was a regular for the following two seasons before his knee began to fail him, eventually ending his career in 1964. Wes Fellowes
Wesley 'Wes' Fellowes (born 7 March 1961) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) and South Australian National Football Leagues (SANFL). Originally from Bulleen-Templestowe Football Club, Fellowes was a tall ruckman and son of former Collingwood Football Club player Graeme Fellowes. Collingwood recruited Fellowes and he made his senior VFL debut in Round 13 1981. He was quite a skillful and mobile ruckman, but his work rate was always questioned by the football public. He played some consistent football after an improving start to his career, and in 1986 he stunned people, winning Collingwood's Best and Fairest award, the Copeland Trophy. Copeland Trophy
The E.W. Copeland Trophy is an Australian rules football award given by the Collingwood Football Club to the player adjudged best and fairest for Collingwood during the year. The Copeland Shield, as it was formerly known, was donated by Ern Copeland, the secretary who came to the club in 1895 and led the club through the 1890s depression, saving it from financial ruin. He remained an employee of Collingwood for 29 years, finally retiring in 1924. The trophy was unveiled in 1932, with the best and fairest award winners from the previous five years engraved on the trophy. Along with the Copeland Trophy, the R.T. Rush Trophy is awarded to the second best and fairest player, the J.J. The 1958 VFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Melbourne Football Club and Collingwood Football Club, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 20 September 1958.
