Gradski Stadion (Gradiška)
Gradski stadion Velimir Sombolac is a multi-purpose stadium in Gradiška, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Kozara Gradiška of the First League of the Republika Srpska. The stadium holds 5,000 spectators. Renamed in April 2021 in honor of club's former manager and legend Velimir Sombolac. Fudbalski klub Kozara Gradiška (Serbian Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Koзapa Градишка) is a professional football club from the town of Gradiška, in northern Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club played in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 2002–03 season. However, they ended up being relegated to the First League of the Republika Srpska after their first season in the country's top league. The club played from 2003 to 2011 in the second level of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After the season 2010–11, the team's promoted again to the Premier League. The First League of the Republika Srpska ( sh, Prva liga Republike Srpske / ) is a second level football competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The league champion is promoted to the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Relegated teams, depending on how many get relegated, fall to the Second League of the Republika Srpska. Velimir Sombolac
Velimir Sombolac (Serbian Cyrillic: Велимир Сомболац; 27 February 1939 – 22 May 2016) was a Serbian footballer and manager. He was part of the Yugoslav squad that won gold at the 1960 Summer Olympics. Playing career Club Following the steps of his elder brother Petar, he started playing in his hometown club FK BSK Banja Luka where he, with his team, surprisingly achieved the third place in the Yugoslav national youth championship. After this success, BSK coach Aco Mastala received a proposal to move to the city's main club FK Borac Banja Luka, which he accepted and brought along some of the players that helped him previously, between them, obviously, Velimir Sombolac. Fahreta Živojinović (; ; born 20 October 1960), known by her stage name Lepa Brena (), is a folk singer, actress, and businesswoman. She is the best-selling female recording artist from the former Yugoslavia. Lepa Brena grew up in Brčko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and has lived in Belgrade, Serbia since 1980, where she started her career. It was released on 29 October 1984. Plot summary The manager of a company (played by Nikola Simić (actor), Nikola Simić) gets in trouble when he cannot pay his workers. Billions were spent on a football stadium which is now empty, and the bank did not approve requests for credit for the seemingly meaningless investments.
