Grace TV
Daystar Television Canada is a Canadian specialty channel that broadcasts Religious programming dedicated to the Christian faith. It is owned by World Media Ministries. Originally known as The Christian Channel from 2005 to 2009, it was re-branded as Grace TV in September 2009. As of June 2013, the majority of its programming became sourced from the U.S. Evangelical Christian network Daystar Television, and the network ultimately took on the Daystar brand in November 2013. On January 26, 2009, S-VOX announced that it had reached an agreement to sell the Christian Channel to World Impact Ministries. 480i is the video mode used for standard-definition digital television in the Caribbean, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Philippines, Laos, Western Sahara, and most of the Americas (with the exception of Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay). The ''480'' identifies a vertical resolution of 480 lines, and the ''i'' identifies it as an interlaced resolution. Shaw Direct is a direct broadcast satellite television distributor in Canada and a subsidiary of the telecommunications company Shaw Communications. As of 2010, Shaw Direct had over 900,000 subscribers. It broadcasts on Ku band from two communications satellites: Anik G1 at 107.3°W, and Anik F2 at 111.1°W. Anik F1R, which had been in service for 15 years, reached its end of life in the latter part of 2020, when the services on this satellite were migrated between the remaining two. These satellites are owned by Telesat Canada and otherwise are used primarily to distribute programming to various Canadian cable TV companies. The Daystar Television Network (commonly referred to as Daystar Television, often shortened to Daystar) is an American evangelical Christian-based religious television network owned by the Word of God Fellowship, founded by Marcus Lamb in 1993. Daystar is headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex in Bedford, Texas. The network is based around prosperity theology.
