Grace Towns Hamilton (February 10, 1907 – June 17, 1992) was an American politician who was the first African-American woman elected to the Georgia General Assembly. As executive director of the Atlanta Urban League from 1943 to 1960, Hamilton was involved in issues of housing, health care, schools and voter registration within the black community. She was 1964 co-founder of the bi-racial Partners for Progress to help government and the private sector effect compliance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964. In 1973, Hamilton became a principal architect for the revision of the Atlanta City Charter. She was advisor to the United States Civil Rights Commission from 1985 to 1987. Grace Latoya Hamilton (born 6 August 1982), known professionally as Spice, is a Jamaican dancehall recording artist, singer, songwriter and businesswoman. Often cited as the " Queen of Dancehall", Spice is recognised as one of the most prominent dancehall artists in the world. Beginning her career in the early 2000s, Spice had her first major success with the controversial single "Romping Shop" with Vybz Kartel in 2009. She subsequently signed with VP Records, and released her debut EP, '' So Mi Like It'' (2014), which was preceded by the single of the same name. Grace Hamilton (born 4 April 1992) is an Australian rugby union and rugby league footballer who captains the Australia Wallaroos and the NSW Waratahs in the Super W. In 2020, she played rugby league for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL Women's Premiership. Background Hamilton was born in Orange, New South Wales and raised in Panuara.
