Governors Of Bihar
The governor of Bihar is a nominal head and representative of the President of India in the state of Bihar. The Governor is appointed by the President for a term of 5 years. Phagu Chauhan is the current governor of Bihar. Former President Zakir Hussain and Ram Nath Kovind were two such Governors of Bihar who succeeded on to become the President of India. Powers and functions The Governor has: *Executive powers related to administration, appointments and removals, *Legislative powers related to lawmaking and the state legislature, that is Vidhan Sabha or Vidhan Parishad, and *Discretionary powers to be carried out according to the discretion of the Governor. In his ex-officio capacity, the Governor of Bihar is Chancellor of the universities of Bihar (at present 12) as per the Acts of the Universities. Francis Mudie
Sir Robert Francis Mudie KCSI, KCIE, OBE (24 August 1890 – 15 September 1976) was a member of the Indian Civil Service during the British Raj. He was the last British Governor of Sind and after the partition of India and Pakistan in August 1947, he continued to serve as Governor of the West Punjab. Jagannath Pahadia (15 January 1932 – 19 May 2021) was an Indian politician and a leader of the Indian National Congress party. He was the former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Governor of Haryana, and Governor of Bihar. He died on 19 May 2021 from COVID-19. Govind Narayan Singh (25 July 1920 – 10 May 2005), was an Indian politician. He was Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from July 30, 1967 to March 12, 1969. Jagannath Kaushal
Jagannath Kaushal (23 April 1915 – 31 May 2001) was an Indian National Congress politician and Law Minister in the Government of India from 1982 to 1985. He studied law at Panjab University, Lahore, in 1936 and started legal practice at Patiala in 1937. Though he was selected as the District and Sessions Judge in 1947, he resigned from the post in 1949 after the State was merged with PEPSU, and returned to legal practice. Ramchandra Dhondiba Bhandare
Ramchandra Dhondiba Bhandare (1916-1988) was an Indian politician, jurist and Ambedkarite activist. Nityanand Kanungo was one of India's prominent politicians from the state of Odisha, who held successive high-profile portfolios in Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's cabinet.
