The Emblem of Madhya Pradesh is the official seal of the government of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. Design The emblem is a circular seal depicting the Lion Capital of Ashoka in front of a banyan tree. Bhai Mahavir
Bhai Mahavir (30 October 1922 - 3 December 2016) was an Indian politician who was governor of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh between April 1998 and March 2003. He was a pracharak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and served as a leader of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and Bharatiya Janata Party. He has authored many books and had served two terms prior to his governorship as a member of the Rajya Sabha. He had an M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics and studied Law (LLB) from the University of Delhi. Life and career Bhai Mahavir was the son of Bhai Parmanand, a Mohyal Brahmin, member of Arya Samaj and a leader of the Hindu Mahasabha. He grew up with an Arya Samaj background and went to study at the Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College in Lahore. His ancestors were famous martyrs of Sikhism i.e. Bhai Matidas and Bhai Satidas. Governors exist in the states, while lieutenant governors exist in union territories including the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. Lalji Tandon (12 April 193521 July 2020) was an Indian politician who served as the 18th Governor of Madhya Pradesh and 28th Governor of Bihar. He had also served as a member of parliament from 1996 until 2014 and as the Leader of the Opposition of the Legislative Assembly of Uttar Pradesh from 2003 until 2007. Om Prakash Kohli (born 9 August 1935) is an Indian politician and the former Governor of Gujarat from 2014 to 2019. He was the president of the Delhi unit of Bharatiya Janata Party from 1999 to 2000 and had served as a member of the Rajya Sabha from 1994 to 2000.
